Ward Off Evil Spirits at Trick-or-Tiki on Saturday, October 29th.
Trader Vic's will be melding the weirdness of Portland, the hospitality of Trader Vic's and the spirit of Halloween at the restaurant's first-ever "Trick or Tiki" Party.
Candy, spooky Pupu's, and
scary-good cocktails will be on hand for revelers, as they sway
to the island songs of
Sneaky Tiki &
the Lava Lounge Orchestra.
Costume judging will take place at 7:00 p.m. and prizes will be awarded in the following categories:
Best Embodiment of "Keep Portland Weird"
Best Tiki
Most Original
The restaurant will offer special pricing on "Nelson's Blood", the signature tiki cocktail invented just for Portland!
Lava Lounge Orchestra is just finishing up a full & fun summer of outdoor summer parties, luau's & the ever popular NW Tiki Kon 2011: Tabu, and we are excited to share our music with you!
Come down to listen to Portland's Premiere Lounge Orchestra, performing a mix of Exotica, Lounge, Bossa Nova and Latin Jazz. We are excited to welcome vibraphonist, Mike Horsfall & pianist, Dan Gaynor for this performance.
And of course, you must enjoy a cocktail (or two, or...) from Trader Vic's extensive Tropical Drink List!
Reservations for seating in the dining room are HIGHLY encouraged. Happy Hour in the lounge begins at 10pm; and seating is first come first served.

Tiki Kon 2011 tabu!
The Pacific Northwest's premiere Tiki Event, TIKI KON celebrates its ninth year in 2011. Tabu is forbidden. Tabu is enticing. Come celebrate Tabu in a three-day Polynesian Pop extravaganza. This year Tiki Kon will benefit the American Red Cross in their humanitarian goals and to appease Tiki Gods.
Saturday, July 16
7pm: The Tiki Kon IX: Tabu! evening extravaganza at the Kenton Masonic Lodge. Signature cocktails and food will be served in the Forbidden Terrace overlooking the dance floor and stage. Delight in the sounds of the Lava Lounge Orchestra and DJ Drew Groove's audible exotic delicacies. Be amazed at the Tabu! marketplace of decadent sundries.
